What Sonara Stores
Sonara may store Discord-related identifiers and feature data needed to operate the bot, including guild IDs, user IDs, channel IDs, prefixes, premium status, blacklists, request channel settings, DJ role settings, skip thresholds, saved volume settings, saved queues, liked songs, playlists, AFK entries, and last-seen data.
Playback and Activity Data
While Sonara is running, it also processes temporary playback and interaction state such as queues, now-playing data, autoplay history, votes, effects, equalizer settings, and request information so music features can work correctly inside a server.
Logs and Operational Data
Sonara writes operational logs and may store error or activity information to help with debugging, abuse review, and service reliability.
Third-Party Services
Sonara connects with external services and music or media sources used for playback, search, lyrics, or metadata. When those services are used, relevant requests and metadata may be processed through them according to their own terms and privacy practices.
Retention and Contact
Stored data may remain for as long as it is needed to run Sonara's features, maintain server settings, preserve playlists or saved queues, handle premium access, investigate abuse, or support reliability. For questions about these policies or Sonara data handling, or to request data removal, users can contact the team through the Sonara support Discord linked on this site.
Examples of Temporary Runtime State
Sonara also keeps temporary in-memory state such as active queues, now-playing entries, skip votes, autoplay history, queue upvotes, effect settings, equalizer state, and the most recent text channel used for playback interactions. This runtime state supports live bot behavior and may not be retained permanently.
Premium and Feature Limits
Sonara includes premium-related handling for feature access and limits, including liked songs limits, playlist availability, and premium guild or user states. These values may be stored and checked so Sonara can determine which features or limits apply in a given server or for a given user.
Presence, AFK, and Activity Data
Sonara can process AFK status data, presence-related activity context, and last-seen information where those bot features are used. This helps power AFK responses, quality-of-life utilities, and related Discord interactions.
